Reiki sessions are offered in person (at my home on the East Side of Saint Paul) or by distance from wherever you may be located.
I’m offering free sessions as part of the 20 practicum hours for my Reiki Master Teacher certification. These sessions are mostly for friends and family while I’m learning. But if we don’t know each other, email me to introduce yourself. 🙂
Choose Your Session
In person
Held at my home on the East Side of Saint Paul, these treatments have you lying down, fully clothed, on my massage table for about 45 minutes. Sessions can be light touch or no touch. Once your session is booked and confirmed, I’ll send you my address. Please note: my dogs live here too, so in-person sessions require dog-friendly humans (IYKYK).
Distance
Held over video, these treatments have you lying down in a relaxing spot in your own home — anywhere you can get comfortable. I start and end each session with a video call (Jitsi, right in your browser, no app needed). In between, I send Reiki to you from a distance. Many clients find distance sessions just as relaxing as in person.
Pets are welcome as clients too!
We can discuss how pet sessions work when you contact me to schedule.
What is a session like?
- Welcome & greeting. Every session starts with a few minutes to check in. This is your time to tell me how you’re feeling and if there’s anything you’d like me to focus on or steer clear of.
- Settling in. You lie down, fully clothed, and get comfortable. I’ll ask if light touch is okay or if you’d prefer my hands just above you.
- The session. I move through a series of hand positions from head to feet. Most people find it very relaxing. Some fall asleep, which I take as a compliment.
- After-session download. After the treatment, we check in again about how the session felt. It’s a chance for us both to share anything we noticed. It’s a good idea to drink some water afterward and give yourself a few quiet minutes before jumping back into your day.
Additional information
What happens in a session?
We start with a quick check-in about how you’re feeling and anything you’d like me to focus on or steer clear of. Then you lie down, fully clothed, and I move through hand positions from head to feet, with light touch or my hands just above you. We close with another check-in. Some people fall asleep (I take it as a compliment).
What should I wear?
Whatever you’d lounge around in. You stay fully clothed, so soft layers work best. Skip belts and anything tight. For distance sessions, get cozy wherever you’re lying down. A blanket helps.
Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?
Nope. Skeptics are welcome. All you need to do is lie still and be open to relaxing. Reiki has been studied with animals too, and cats don’t have opinions about energy healing.
What’s the difference between in-person and distance?
In-person sessions are 60 minutes on my massage table at my home on the east side of Saint Paul. Distance sessions are 45 minutes by video call: you lie down at home and I send Reiki from mine. I find distance just as effective, and it’s usually the best fit for pets.
Is Reiki a replacement for medical care?
No. Reiki works alongside medical and mental health care. I don’t diagnose or prescribe, so please keep working with your doctor or therapist.
